Numasts’ marine terminals help our company move products in large quantities from state to state. This enables Numast to ship bulk aggregates economically to other coastal areas. As a result, fewer trucks are on the road and this contributes to an eco-friendly way of doing business and allows our company to maintain our goal of being sustainable.

We move between 2500-5000 tons of aggregate per load depending on the barge. An average railcar can carry about 100 tons and a triaxle truck 20-25 tons depending on the location. Due to our ability to move very large quantities, the cost benefits outweigh any other form of transportation, making barges the most efficient way to move our products. Consequently moving products in such large amount creates a much faster delivery time to our customers.

Numast’s Barges are ABS certified, and Coast Guard inspected. Safety at Numast is our highest priority, as well as the health of our oceans and waterways.
